Before - clear rubble & old tree stumps - enrich soil.
Level ground - plant beds with bulbs and drought/semi shade tolerant perennials.
4 weeks after planting and grass seeding.
12 weeks after planting and grass seeding - during hot/dry summer of 2009.
More photo's to follow - with maintenance we aim to improve grass...subject to co-operation from resident standard poodle :D , fill in any gaps in flowering times and straighten/tame the backdrop ivy hedge. Spring/summer 2009
We love our little flower bed. Also that while we are not in residence someone comes along and looks after it for us. What a delight when we arrive for our holiday - the lawn is mown and the flowers are just waiting for us to admire them !! Excellent work, thank you.
